About Us
Authentic Scandinavian bakery in Florence
“Wild Buns Bakery started at home, for friends, and for myself. I didn’t create this place just for travelers and tourists – I created it for Italians too because they know what a Swedish cinnamon bun is.” (Robert – wild baker and founder).
Wild Buns Bakery in Florence opened officially in September 2022.
My journey as a baker began with my grandmother, a famous baker in her small town in Estonia. She taught me everything about cooking and baking, starting when I was just ten. Her guidance and feedback fueled my passion, leading me to perfect my skills and refine my craft.
Now, at Wild Buns Bakery, we continue my grandmother`s legacy by serving every morning fresh authentic Scandinavian pastries. Once a week we bake fresh authentic Estonian rye bread, with rye flour from Estonia and sourdough starter handed down from my grandmother.
We are honoured to be the Miglior Pasticceria (Best Bakery) Firenze 2024!
In addition to sweet and savorey Scandinavian pastries, we offer local speciality coffee – we proudly have Oatly! – tea – including matcha – and other refreshing drinks that complement the flavours of Nordic baked goods.
